Project:    McCreary County Courthouse

                 Renovation & Addition

Location: Whitley City, Kentucky

The McCreary County Courthouse is a 13,000 square foot addition and renovation to the existing courthouse.   The work includes ADA compliance, two new courtrooms, judges chambers, conference areas, holding cells, jury areas and a new circuit clerk's office.   The existing building renovation includes a new elevator, renovation of the existing county administration areas and new finishes throughout the existing courthouse.

The new addition across the front of the original building completely transforms the appearance of the original building, which was built in 1953 and expanded in 1975.   The new front introduces a classical portico entrance and features a new clock tower.

This project was completed in the summer of 2001.
